World-class artistry in Prague: The Letní Letná festival will once again transform Prague’s Letná Park into a grand circus stage this August – featuring international top acts, poetry, and innovative formats.
In August, Prague’s Letná Park will again serve as the stage for contemporary circus: From 13 to 31 August, Letní Letná brings international leading ensembles to Prague. The 22nd edition promises spectacular shows, poetic moments – and entirely new formats.
Particular anticipation surrounds the return of the French troupe Akoreacro, presenting their new show Ostinato – following its world premiere, this will be only its second public performance. Energy, music, acrobatics: the collective is renowned for its distinctive style.
From Canada comes the troupe The 7 Fingers. Their show Duel Reality places Romeo and Juliet into a sporting competition format – breathtaking acrobatics combined with theatrical elements.
A unique experience is promised by the French company Max & Maurice: In Les Grands Fourneaux, circus arts and gastronomy merge (sold out). During the show, a menu is served – a multisensory experience that has already won acclaim in Paris.

Bêtes de foire offers a decidedly more poetic tone. Their new piece Décrochez-moi-ça evokes the golden era of the travelling circus – with live music, puppetry, and charming details. The Canadian duo People Watching presents the visually powerful show Play Dead. A play of light, shadow and movement – between dreamscapes, memories, and what we call reality.
The festival opener on 13 August will be performed by Blackout Paradox, a troupe from the Czech Republic. Their performance is inspired by the myth in which the goddess Eurynome separates the sea from the sky, thus creating the world (FREE open-air event).
Letní Letná is long since more than just an insider’s tip. Alongside international guests, there is an extensive programme for children and families, music, gastronomy, and open-air experiences.
