This September, Cirque du Soleil returns to Prague with its acclaimed production KURIOS™ – Cabinet of Curiosities, inviting audiences into a realm of fantasy, illusion, and breathtaking acrobatics.
From 3 September to 12 October 2025, the world-renowned troupe will transform the Czech capital into a kingdom of illusions. With KURIOS™ – Cabinet of Curiosities, the ensemble once again opens the door to a universe where the boundaries between reality and dream begin to blur.
At the heart of the show is an eccentric inventor whose boundless imagination brings to life a hidden parallel world filled with wonders. Here, mechanical marionettes spring into action, curious creatures play mischievous tricks, and spectacular feats of acrobatics merge seamlessly with poetry and gentle humour. More than 50 artists from 21 nations will bring this extraordinary universe to the stage beneath Cirque du Soleil’s iconic Big Top.
KURIOS™ invites audiences to see the invisible made visible – a celebration of imagination that has earned international critical acclaim. Since its debut in 2014, the production has thrilled over five million people in 35 countries, becoming one of the company’s most successful shows to date.
The title draws inspiration from the tradition of the historical cabinets of curiosities – collections of marvels that flourished during the Renaissance in Europe and are considered precursors of the modern museum. In those days, nobles, merchants and scholars assembled mysterious artefacts, exotic souvenirs and rare relics – precisely the atmosphere that KURIOS™ now recreates on stage in spectacular fashion.
