Today, the Signal Festival 2025 kicks off with 20 installations, including seven exclusive indoor highlights. Visitors can rediscover the city through video mappings, interactive artworks, and walks through the evening Old Town.
This evening, the Signal Festival 2025 opens in Prague. This year’s edition features 20 installations, seven of which are exclusive to the indoor zone Signal INSIDE, where tickets are still available. A visit to this zone should be on every festival plan – no matter when you drop by.
What does a festival visit offer?
- Experience Prague in a new light: The outdoor installations are freely accessible and open to all visitors.
- A calmer, more intense view: In Signal INSIDE, seven interactive indoor installations await with controlled entry – access is by ticket only.
Video mappings in focus
For the 13th time, the Signal Festival transforms the city into a canvas: every festival route features a video mapping. Making its debut is the tower façade of the Old Town Hall, which will be brought to life with light art for the first time in the festival’s history.
After three years, a popular installation also returns: the façade of the Basilica of St. Ludmila at Náměstí Míru will once again be spectacularly illuminated.
The partner for the video mapping at the Old Town Hall is Prague City Tourism. Another highlight is a 3D projection on a water wall above the Vltava River, which creates an almost magical atmosphere.
Getting around during the festival
The best way to experience the festival is on foot. A walk through Prague in the evening is part of the experience. For safety reasons, visitors should not enter the festival areas on bicycles, e-bikes, scooters, or similar vehicles, as pedestrian traffic is increased on the streets.
Printed festival guide
In collaboration with the newspaper Deník N, a special festival booklet is published with a comprehensive overview, stories about the art installations, a selection of highlights, and a printed map. The booklet is distributed free at all ticket counters for the paid installations. In addition, volunteers, the SIGNALISTI in distinctive yellow jackets, hand out copies directly in the streets.
The festival is best reached by public transport. Suitable starting points are the metro stations Náměstí Republiky or Staroměstská for the city-centre route, and Náměstí Míru and Jiřího z Poděbrad for the Vinohrady route.
