Perrott Hill British School Prague is a well-established international school in Prague, offering a full British-style education from Nursery to High School. It combines academic excellence with a strong community spirit, welcoming students from more than 50 countries.
Nestled in the quiet residential district of Prague 8–Kobylisy, Perrott Hill British School Prague (PHBS) stands as a vibrant international community offering a full-scale British-style education. As part of the esteemed Perrott Hill Group, the school provides a nurturing and academically rigorous environment for pupils from Nursery through to High School, built on the core values of excellence, integrity, and creativity.
Each section of the school is led by an experienced Head Teacher working closely with the Executive Headmaster to ensure a cohesive and high-quality learning experience.
With more than 500 students from over 50 nationalities, PHBS reflects a truly global community. Around 70 per cent of pupils come from international backgrounds, representing countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, India, Kazakhstan, Poland, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, and Ukraine, among many others.

A Certified British Education
PHBS Prague is a fully certified British School Overseas (BSO), following rigorous inspections conducted on behalf of the UK Department for Education. The school is also accredited by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, and serves as an official Cambridge Assessment International Education Centre.
Teaching follows both the National Curriculum of England and Wales and the Cambridge International Examinations framework. With the exception of second and third language lessons, all subjects are taught exclusively in English.
To ensure a personalised approach to learning, class sizes are intentionally kept small — a maximum of 12 pupils in Reception, 16 in Year 1, and 20 from Year 2 through to Year 13. This allows the school’s highly qualified and motivated teachers to offer individual attention in modern classrooms and laboratories, while maintaining a strong academic focus.

Academic Excellence and Global Pathways
Graduates of PHBS go on to pursue their studies at prestigious universities both in the Czech Republic and abroad. Alumni destinations include Charles University, the University of Amsterdam, Leiden University (The Hague Campus), Prague University of Economics and Business, the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, and Anglo-American University.
Many students choose to continue their education in fields such as Economics, Business, and International Relations, though the PHBS academic programme offers the flexibility for pupils to pursue either a broad or specialised focus at university level.

From Early Years to High School
The Early Years Programme at PHBS is carefully designed to help each child reach their full potential in a secure, stimulating, and nurturing environment. Learning is hands-on and exploratory, encouraging independence and curiosity through purposeful play and varied activities.
The Primary School caters to pupils aged six to ten, with English as the main language of instruction. Additional languages, including French, are introduced early on. The curriculum promotes both character development and inquiry-based learning, inspiring children to think critically and work collaboratively.
The Secondary and High School sections, for students aged 11 to 18, bring together young people from a wide range of national, cultural, and religious backgrounds — creating a rich and inclusive learning environment. While all instruction is in English, tailored support is available for students who are still developing their English proficiency.

Beyond the Classroom
To support families, PHBS provides a safe door-to-door transport service for pupils in Early Years and Primary School. An Afterschool Care Service, available until 6 p.m. for an additional fee, offers younger students a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, with healthy snacks provided. School lunches are delivered by a trusted partner catering company, ensuring balanced and nutritious meals every day.
Perrott Hill British School Prague continues to grow as one of the city’s well-established international schools — a place where academic excellence, personal growth, and global citizenship are nurtured in equal measure.
