The Czech airline Smartwings is considerably expanding its route network and, as part of the 2025/26 winter schedule, is adding seven new European destinations to its programme. From Prague, flights will now also operate to Brussels, Barcelona, Porto, Bucharest, Bilbao, Toulouse and Rome. The new connections will be launched gradually between 23 and 26 October.
In addition to the new routes, existing ones will also be expanded: Smartwings will now fly to Málaga up to twelve times a week and to Paris as many as three times a day.
The first flights on the new routes took off on 23 October – to Barcelona and Rome (each four times a week) and to Porto (twice a week). Today, Friday 24 October, the Bilbao service follows, on 25 October Toulouse, and finally on 26 October Brussels (twelve times a week) and Bucharest (seven times a week).

“The expansion of our route network is a direct response to the growing demand for direct flights to European cities. Interest in the newly announced destinations has far exceeded our expectations. We are confident that our expanded offer will appeal to both business travellers and holidaymakers,” says Michal Váňa, Sales Director at Smartwings.
Tickets start from CZK 1,850 and can be purchased online via the Smartwings website or through travel agencies. Even in the lowest “LITE” fare, a full-size piece of hand luggage (55 × 40 × 23 cm, up to 8 kg) is included in the price.
For years, Smartwings has offered the widest range of direct flights from the Czech Republic and is the largest operator at Václav Havel Airport in Prague in terms of the number of flights operated. In the 2025/26 winter schedule, Smartwings will operate direct flights from Czech airports to around 30 destinations.
