    Lítačka 2026: Replacement of Old Cards, Automatic Renewal for Newer Ones

    In 2026, the automatic renewal of Lítačka cards issued in 2016 will expire. This means the oldest cards will finally lapse after almost ten years. Newer cards will remain valid.

    In 2026, the validity of Lítačka cards issued in 2016 will expire. These must be renewed by their holders. In contrast, newer cards will be automatically renewed. We provide an overview of the most important changes and the procedures for the various card types.

    Replacement of Cards from 2016

    Lítačka cards from 2016 have been automatically renewed several times in recent years – this renewal ends in 2026. Although the cards remain valid until the date recorded in the system, they can be exchanged for a new card at any time.

    The replacement can be done online via the Lítačka online shop or in person at the Škodův Palace and at selected service points. A complete list of locations and services offered is available on the official website.

    Fees for Replacement:

    • Postal delivery: free of charge
    • Personal collection (Škodův Palace or service points): 50 CZK
    • Express replacement: 100 CZK

    Cards from 2019 – Second Automatic Renewal

    Cards issued in 2019 originally had a validity of four years and have already been automatically extended once by three years. In 2026, the second automatic renewal will take place, again for three years (until 2029).

    Last year, the validity of cards issued in 2020 was extended by another three years. Passengers can therefore continue to use these cards in Prague and the Central Bohemian Region (Středočeský kraj) until 2028.
