Holešovická Tržnice Prague: Hala 22 to Undergo Renovation – Traders to Move Temporarily to Hall 13

The necessary works mainly concern the electrical installations of the historic market hall

Hala 22 at Prague’s Holešovická Tržnice will undergo technical refurbishment in the coming months. During the works, traders will temporarily relocate to neighbouring Hall 13 – but the usual range of products will remain fully available.

The well-known Hala 22, the fruit and vegetable market of Holešovická Tržnice in Prague, will be extensively renovated during the coming winter months. The necessary works from early January will mainly concern the electrical installations and other technical facilities of the historic market hall.

To ensure operations continue, most traders together with their stalls will move just a few steps away to neighbouring Hall 13 for the duration of the renovation – which is expected to last from January to March 2026. For visitors, this means that the familiar assortment will remain available.

Hala 22 (Hall 22) has been the bustling centre of the market for years. Traders offer a wide variety of fresh products throughout the year: fruit, vegetables, baked goods, eggs, milk and cheese, herbs, fish and meat, as well as honey, mushrooms, flowers and Asian specialities. Many goods come from regional suppliers and carry organic certifications.

Even in the run-up to Christmas, the range remains extensive. From Christmas biscuits and traditional Slovak delicacies to potatoes, meat and eggs, and from Christmas trees and Advent wreaths to fresh fish – visitors will find everything they need for the festive season.
