The year 2025 offers good news for employees, with three long weekends to look forward to: Easter in April, 17 November, and Christmas. However, three public holidays will fall on a weekend.
The first public holiday of the year is on 1 January, marking the Day of the Restoration of the Independent Czech State, as well as New Year’s Day. In 2025, this date falls on a Wednesday.
Among the public holidays, three—5 July, 6 July, and 28 September—will coincide with weekends, slightly reducing the number of weekdays off. Nonetheless, the three long weekends provide some welcome breaks during the year.
