An evening that blends cinema and concert: The Universe of John Williams returns to Prague, presenting some of the most iconic film scores in spectacular style.
Following last year’s success, The Universe of John Williams returns to the stage with a breathtaking multimedia concert show that honours the work of the most renowned film composer of all time. On 29 December 2025, this unique event will bring his masterpieces to life at the O2 Universum.
Audiences can look forward to the unforgettable music of John Williams – five-time Oscar winner and composer of the scores for Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, E.T., Superman, Jaws, Schindler’s List and many more.
This concert offers a high-calibre musical experience, performed by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and a large choir, enhanced by a stunning visual spectacle. Throughout the evening, not only will film clips and visual animations be projected onto large screens, but the orchestra itself will also be shown live from three camera angles.
The charismatic conductor Pete Harrison will once again guide audiences through the evening, offering personal commentary and behind-the-scenes insights – such as why John Williams once doubted his abilities when composing Schindler’s List, how he nearly missed the deadline for Home Alone, or how the iconic Indiana Jones fanfare came into being.
Darth Vader on Stage
The exact set list is still being finalised with the conductor, so the programme will not be identical to last year’s show. However, it has already been confirmed that one of the most memorable highlights will return – the dramatic entrance of Darth Vader on stage.
Towards the end of the programme, the enchanting melody from Home Alone will also be performed, conjuring a warm festive atmosphere and bringing this unforgettable musical and cinematic evening to a stylish close.
