On Saturday, Kulaták in Prague 6 will be transformed into a meeting place for cultures: at the 8th Festival Ambasád, embassies from across the globe will present their culinary specialities. Visitors can look forward to a unique street food experience — accompanied by music, dance, and international encounters.
The international street food festival, Festival Ambasád 2025 (Festival of Embassies), will take place for the eighth time on Saturday, 7 June. The event, which will feature numerous country representatives, is held under the auspices of Prague 6 district and is organised by the registered association of farmers’ markets (spolek Farmářské Trhy).
The Festival of Embassies provides a platform for the culinary traditions of various countries to be showcased by their embassies, honorary consulates, or chambers of commerce. Ambassadors and their families often take an active role, enriching the festival with their personal involvement in preparing the food.
At the stalls, visitors have the opportunity to sample original dishes from around the world — often prepared by renowned chefs. The aim of the event is to integrate high-quality local produce into fine gastronomy and to provide an authentic insight into the world’s cuisines. This year, 56 countries have registered to participate through their national representations.
The culinary experience is complemented by a varied entertainment programme. Music groups and artists from the participating countries create a vibrant atmosphere, taking guests on a cultural journey around the globe.
The Festival of Embassies has established itself as a unique event in the Czech Republic. Its international diversity and the active participation of diplomatic missions give it special significance. Visitors can look forward to a weekend full of culinary discoveries and cultural highlights.
