Smartwings is significantly expanding its route network from Prague this coming winter. With new destinations in Spain and France, as well as numerous additional connections, the airline is responding to the growing demand for direct flights.
According to the company, new destinations will be added from October, including Bilbao (twice weekly) in the Spanish Basque Country and Toulouse (twice weekly) in southern France from 25 October. This will bring the total number of direct connections from Czech airports in the 2025/2026 winter schedule to around 30.
In addition to the two new destinations, Smartwings will also continue to operate its established routes. From 23 October, the winter flight schedule will include regular services to Barcelona (four times a week), Porto (twice), Rome (four times), Brussels (up to twelve times), and Bucharest (seven times weekly). Frequencies on existing routes will also be increased – for example, to Paris (three times daily) and Málaga (twelve flights per week).
Ticket sales are already underway and bookings can be made via the Smartwings website or through travel agencies.
All flights include one standard piece of hand luggage (up to 8 kg, max. dimensions 55 × 40 × 23 cm) even in the lowest ‘LITE’ fare. This passenger-friendly policy is likely to be welcomed by travel enthusiasts.
‘Our goal is to continuously expand our flight offerings and provide our passengers with even more attractive non-stop destinations from Prague,’ says Michal Váňa, Sales Director at Smartwings. ‘The new routes to Bilbao and Toulouse are another step in this direction.’
In winter 2025/2026, Smartwings will also operate flights from Prague to Madrid, Paris, Dubai, four Canary Islands (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura), Rome, Porto, Brussels, Bucharest, Tel Aviv, Antalya, Mallorca, Madeira, the Azores, and Egyptian beach resorts such as Hurghada and Marsa Alam. There will also be numerous charter flights, including to Cape Verde, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Zanzibar, and Mombasa in Kenya.
