The highlights of this year’s Karlovy Vary International Film Festival are now coming to Prague and Brno. Starting today, the festival’s official afterglow event, Šary Vary, will present award-winning films and audience favourites in selected cinemas.
Those who were unable to attend the 59th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival now have the opportunity to catch some of the top titles from the renowned event on the big screen. From 14 to 20 July 2025, Šary Vary will bring a curated selection of celebrated and popular productions to cinemas in Prague and Brno.
Audiences can look forward to a top-class programme at Kino Aero, Kino Světozor and Kino Přítomnost in Prague, and at the open-air Scalní letňák Janáček cinema in Brno. Among the featured titles are the wild rave journey Sirat, Sound of Falling – winner of the Jury Prize in Cannes – the romantic comedy Bláznivě, the first Czech-Vietnamese production Letní škola, as well as 2001, Karavan and Sbormistr, to name just a few.
All films will be screened in their original language with Czech subtitles or in Czech.

Ticket Prices:
Tickets can be purchased online via the respective cinema websites or directly at the box offices. Prices are 180 CZK at Kino Aero, 185 CZK at Kino Světozor, 230 CZK at Kino Přítomnost and 180 CZK at Scalní letňák. Discounted rates are available for seniors, students, and individuals with disabilities, in line with each cinema’s policy.
