After years of extensive construction work, direct train services from Kladno and Kralupy to Masaryk Station in central Prague are set to resume at the beginning of August. For many commuters, this means shorter transfer times and improved connections to the heart of the Czech capital.
Following the completion of a key section of the modernised railway line in Holešovice, services between Prague’s western suburbs and Masaryk Station will be significantly enhanced.

From Monday, 4 August, trains on lines S5, S54, R24 and R45 from Kladno and Hostivice will no longer terminate at Praha-Dejvice but will once again continue to Masaryk Station.
The only exceptions will be trains Os 9803 and Os 19735, which terminate at Praha-Bubny (arriving at 7:31 and 18:32), as well as train Os 19738, which starts at Praha-Bubny (departing at 16:42).
Services on line S4 from Kralupy nad Vltavou run since today, 2 August, beyond the newly relocated Praha-Bubny station straight into the city centre.

The new Praha-Bubny stop offers passengers shorter and more convenient links to Metro Line C and various tram services. In addition, a new stop, Praha-Výstaviště, is being introduced to improve access to the Holešovice exhibition grounds and Stromovka Park. At the same time, the former stop “Praha-Holešovice zastávka” (S4) will be permanently closed.

The return of direct trains to central Prague marks a major step forward for public transport, allowing commuters from the western outskirts to once again travel straight to the city centre without having to change trains in Dejvice or Holešovice.
