This Saturday, everything at Prague Zoo revolves around elephants. In the Elephant Valley, visitors can get up close to the animals and enjoy a colourful programme full of fascinating insights and activities.
In addition to guided encounters with the gentle giants, animal lovers can watch the elephants bathe, learn more about their history and significance in different cultures, or take part in creative hands-on stations. Children are also well catered for, with numerous information and play stands inviting them to discover the world of elephants in a fun and interactive way.
One particular highlight is the opportunity to make paper from elephant dung – a traditional craft that can then be individually decorated. In addition, the zoo management is exceptionally opening the doors to an area of elephant keeping that is usually off-limits to visitors. The guided tours last about 30 to 40 minutes and are included in the ticket price, but prior registration by email is required.

The day’s programme includes guided feedings, the presentation of special enrichment items for the animals, and a spectacular elephant bath in the afternoon. For anyone wishing to experience the gentle giants up close, this Saturday offers the perfect opportunity.
