The Czech airline Smartwings is expanding its service on the Prague to Málaga route. From 23 October 2025, the popular connection to the Spanish Costa del Sol will operate twelve times a week – five more flights than before.
Until now, Smartwings has offered a daily afternoon flight departing at 17:20. Starting this autumn, an additional early morning flight will be available, departing Prague at 06:00 and arriving in Málaga at 09:25. The return flight is scheduled for 10:10 local time, landing at Václav Havel Airport Prague at 13:25. The flights will be operated by a Boeing 737, accommodating 189 passengers.
“This is very positive news for our customers. With the additional flights, we are offering more flexibility and enabling better planning for shorter trips, making the most of the time spent at the destination,” said Michal Váňa, Sales Director of Smartwings.
Málaga remains one of the most popular holiday destinations in southern Spain and is the second-largest city in Andalusia. Last year, more than 118,000 passengers flew with Smartwings between Prague and Málaga, with an impressive average seat occupancy of 84 per cent.
Ticket sales are already underway, with bookings available via the Smartwings website and travel agencies.
In addition to Málaga, Smartwings also serves other Spanish destinations such as Valencia, Madrid, Almería, Mallorca, Menorca and the Canary Islands.
During the winter 2025/2026 season, Smartwings will also fly from Prague to Madrid, Paris, Dubai, four Canary Islands (Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura), Rome, Porto, Brussels, Bucharest, Tel Aviv, Antalya, Mallorca, Madeira, the Azores and Egyptian resorts such as Hurghada and Marsa Alam. There will also be numerous charter connections, for example to Cape Verde, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, Zanzibar and Mombasa in Kenya.
