Due to construction work at Českomoravská metro station, Line B will be closed between Florenc and Vysočanská over two weekends in August. Prague Public Transport (DPP) is setting up a replacement tram service for this period.
The renovation of Prague’s Českomoravská metro station involves additional construction work, which will significantly restrict Line B services over two weekends in August. According to DPP, no trains will run between Florenc and Vysočanská on 16–17 August and 23–24 August 2025.
During this time, a replacement tram line XB will operate during the day between Florenc and Vysočanská via Palmovka. In addition, passengers can use regular tram lines 12, as well as lines 3 and 8 between Florenc and Palmovka.
Services on the rest of the network will continue as usual: trains on Line B will run between Zličín and Florenc according to the normal summer timetable. From Vysočanská, the metro will operate a shuttle service between Černý Most and Vysočanská, using only one track in each direction. Passengers will need to change between platforms 1 and 2 at Hloubětín.
Regional services also provide alternatives: the special line S2X will connect Masaryk Station with Vysočany, Rajská zahrada, and Horní Počernice from 06:00 to 22:00. Together with regular lines S2 and S22 from the main station, this creates a 15-minute interval service between the city centre and Horní Počernice.
Positive news comes for tram users in the west of Prague: the repair of the line to Bílá Hora is being completed sooner than planned. From Saturday, 16 August, trams will return to normal operation between Vypich and Bílá Hora. Due to further roadworks on Karlovarská Street, diversions for bus services will remain in place until the end of August.
