Prague is celebrating 150 years of trams! At the end of September, historic and modern vehicles will parade through the city in a festive parade – from horse-drawn trams to the state-of-the-art 52T. A unique spectacle for visitors and photographers.
On Sunday, 21 September 2025, the Prague Public Transport Company (DPP) will organise a festive tram procession as part of the celebrations for 150 years of public transport in Prague. Up to 40 trams will take part in the parade, some only on certain sections of the route.
The day begins in the morning with an exhibition of all participating vehicles on Sokolovská Street between the Křižíkova and Urxova stops. At 11:00, the approximately twelve-kilometre-long procession will set off. Leading the procession will be a historic horse-drawn tram – pulled, as in the old days, by real horses. Opposite it will be the most modern model in the Prague tram fleet, the 52T.

Procession Schedule:
- 09:30 – 11:00: Exhibition of trams between Křižíkova and Urxova
- 10:45 – 11:00: Opening speeches
- 11:00: Departure of the tram procession
The tram parade is best viewed from the streets along the route. For travel, the Metro is recommended: for the vehicle exhibition, take Line B to Křižíkova or Invalidovna stations; for the photo point on the Mánes Bridge, take Line A to Staroměstská or Malostranská stations.
A limited number of tickets for the procession are available via the online fan shop at fanshop.dpp.cz; information on advance sales will follow.

The procession will be led by historic tram 240, pulled by horses, followed by trams 90, the salon tram 200, and the observation tram 500. Also taking part are, among others, motor tram 88 from 1900 and other historic motor trams. Representatives of the modern tram generation are also included: 14T, 15T, and especially the 52T. The procession is complemented by the T3 Coupé observation tram, a training tram, and work vehicles such as the popular Mazačka, snow ploughs, and sweepers.
