From mid-October, BODY WORLDS will open at Prague’s Westfield Chodov shopping centre, offering a unique insight into the human body. The world-renowned exhibition displays real specimens, plastinated by anatomists, making anatomy accessible to visitors of all ages.
From 10 October, Prague’s Westfield Chodov will host an exhibition that has already captivated over 50 million people worldwide: BODY WORLDS. The project is the work of German anatomist Gunther von Hagens, whose plastination method provides entirely new insights into the structure and function of the human body.

“Our aim is to encourage visitors to adopt a healthier lifestyle and to give them a deeper understanding of their own bodies,” explains Květa Havelková from the JVS TRADE GROUP, which is bringing the exhibition to Prague.
The exhibition presents real human bodies and specimens that strikingly illustrate the complex interaction of muscles, organs, and the nervous system. Alongside teaching anatomical fundamentals, BODY WORLDS also focuses on the importance of health, lifestyle, and human mortality.

Visitors are guided by medical students who explain each station – from muscle anatomy to brain function. A particular focus is on the prevention of common lifestyle-related diseases such as cardiovascular conditions or obesity. The exhibits unflinchingly document the consequences of smoking, lack of exercise, and poor diet.
A dedicated gallery explores the themes of ageing and longevity, demonstrating how diet, mental balance, and daily habits can significantly affect both the quality and length of life.

Families with children are also catered for: a specially designed “children’s route” makes the exhibition both understandable and engaging for young visitors. At the same time, it provides valuable insights for professionals, from nurses and physiotherapists to medical students.
BODY WORLDS will be on display from 10 October at Westfield Chodov in Prague. Further information and tickets are available at www.bodyworlds.cz.
