Istanbul is becoming more accessible for travellers from the Czech Republic, as Turkish airline AJet launches mid December a new route connecting Prague with the city on the Bosphorus.
Turkish airline AJet is expanding its network into Central Europe. From mid-December 2025, it will connect Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport with Prague on four weekly direct flights.
AJet will inaugurate the new service between Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen (SAW) and Prague (PRG) on 15 December 2025. The route will be operated by Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Thanks to this new connection, Istanbul is now closer than ever for Czech travellers – at very competitive prices. Tickets start at €49 and include one item of hand luggage weighing up to eight kilograms. Departures from Prague are scheduled for Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 13:10.
Istanbul, the city on the Bosphorus, is renowned as a crossroads between Europe and Asia. Its historic old town bears witness to the rich cultural influences of the many empires that have shaped the metropolis over the centuries.
For AJet, this new service is part of a wider strategy to expand its European network and link more cities to Turkey. As a low-cost carrier under the umbrella of Turkish Airlines, the airline primarily appeals to budget-conscious travellers and families.
