On Saturday, the farmers’ market at Kulaťák in Prague 6 will once again transform into a paradise for beer enthusiasts. For the seventh year, more than 20 small breweries from across the Czech Republic will showcase their specialties.
On Saturday, 13 September, the Kulaťák farmers’ market (Vítězné náměstí) in Prague 6 will once again host the Small Breweries Festival (Festival malých pivovarů na Kulaťáku). More than 20 small breweries from across the country will present their creations, ranging from classic lagers and wheat beers to APA, IPA, and porter, brewed both top- and bottom-fermented. The aim of the event is to introduce beer lovers to the diversity offered by small breweries, or microbreweries.

“We’ve invited dozens of small breweries to showcase their products at this event,” explained Miroslav Dušek, spokesperson for the organisers. “This year, we are welcoming, among others, Pivovar Malý Janek, Pivovar Potmehúd, Pivovar Obora, and Pivovar Hradecký klenot.”
Alongside the beer selection, local traders and farmers will provide culinary delights: the menu includes juicy burgers, American-style hot dogs, pljeskavica, grilled fish specialties, and hearty pancakes. For vegetarians and vegans, there will be options such as falafel or pelmeně.

The event also places a strong emphasis on sustainability: beers will be served in glasses—including your own—or in reusable cups and environmentally friendly plastic. From the outset, the Kulaťák farmers’ market has been committed to ecological initiatives, waste separation, and reduction.
The traditional farmers’ market will run as usual from 8 am to 2 pm, while the festival itself will continue from 8 am to 8 pm.
