Until the end of November, TSK will be cleaning roads, pavements, and drainage systems across all districts of Prague. For drivers, this means observing no-parking restrictions and moving vehicles promptly.
The Technical Administration of Communications (TSK) has begun the traditional autumn phase of city cleaning in Prague. Until the end of November, streets, pavements, and drains in all districts will be thoroughly cleared of dust, autumn leaves, and dirt. Drivers are therefore urged to watch for temporary traffic signs—failure to do so may result in fines and other complications.
Since the start of the new school year, TSK staff have been working daily. This cleaning operation is part of the broader street maintenance programme and takes place twice a year, with the first round occurring at the start of spring.
Detailed information about dates and affected areas can be found on the TSK website, via the new map application “Summer Street and Pavement Cleaning.”
As in previous years, drivers should expect temporary traffic restrictions during cleaning. One week in advance, residents are informed by mobile signs indicating a “No Parking” zone. An additional panel specifies the reason for the restriction and the exact cleaning period, set from 08:00 to 15:00. In certain areas, mobile signs reading “Restricted Traffic Zone” and “End of Restricted Traffic Zone” are also used to replace multiple individual prohibition signs.
Motorists are asked to observe traffic signs and relocate their vehicles in good time. Failure to comply may result in the vehicle being towed.
