Prague is looking forward to a canine autumn highlight: at the beginning of October, Holešovická Tržnice will transform into a hub for dog owners and animal enthusiasts. The Dogs & Friends festival offers a varied programme for families, four-legged friends, and everyone who loves dogs.
On 4 October, Holešovická Tržnice (the market hall) in Prague will once again become a meeting place for dog owners and animal lovers. The Dogs & Friends festival invites dog owners and dog enthusiasts to enjoy a diverse programme for both two- and four-legged participants.
Over the years, the festival has established itself as a firm favourite, attracting dog fans from across the Czech Republic with its mix of entertainment, community spirit, and animal charm. Visitors can look forward to a pop-up market featuring Czech and Slovak brands related to dogs, a culinary zone with dog treats, a fashion show with four-legged models, and the Pawzler Mistrovství ČR, the Czech championship in solving dog puzzles. Dogs can be registered for the competition either online at www.dogg.cz or on-site. Participation is free.
The popular “Meet & Greet” of dog breeds is also back on the programme: from pugs and bulldogs to greyhounds, poodles, and Australian Shepherds – there will be opportunities throughout the day to meet different breeds and connect with other dog lovers.
Alongside a varied supporting programme, a food truck zone will ensure owners are well catered for. Admission is free; the event begins at 10:00 in Hall 11 of Holešovická Market Hall.
