History brought to life: In Prague 6, White Mountain will once again be transformed into a battlefield at the weekend, when the famous battle of 1620 is reconstructed.
Bílá hora (White Mountain) in Prague 6 will once again become a battlefield this year. On the weekend of 20 and 21 September 2025, the re-enactment of the historic battle will take place – a turning point for the Bohemian lands in 1620. The programme begins on Saturday at 12:00 noon, with the battle itself staged on both days from 3:00 p.m.

The event depicts the clash between the armies of the Bohemian estates on one side and the combined forces of the Catholic League and the Imperial army on the other. Hundreds of soldiers from across Europe, including artillerymen and cavalry, will travel to Prague to take part in the largest re-enactment of a Thirty Years’ War battle in the region. Pyrotechnic effects and cannon fire will provide an authentic atmosphere.
The programme also features a historical marketplace as well as a varied supporting programme for children and adults alike. Planned activities include sword-fighting demonstrations, military drills, displays of firearms, jugglers, musical performances and much more.

The re-enactment of the Battle of White Mountain (Bitva na Bílé hoře) is organised by the association Bílá hora 1620 and counts among the largest re-enactments of its kind in Europe. Each year, the battle is reconstructed as authentically as possible.
