With this parade, the hot phase of the Central European Rally begins

This afternoon, Prague will be all about motorsport as rally cars from the Central European Rally 2025 drive through the historic city centre. Drivers from several countries will showcase their WRC cars on a twelve-kilometre route across the capital.

On Sunday afternoon, 12 October 2025, the centre of Prague will turn into a stage for motorsport fans. The spectacular rally cars from the Toyota, Hyundai and Ford teams will drive through the capital as part of this year’s Central European Rally – passing some of the city’s most famous landmarks.

The drive is planned as a show prologue to the World Rally Championship, which will take place from 16 to 19 October across the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria. The roughly twelve-kilometre course runs right through the heart of Prague.

The show begins at 1:30 p.m. in front of the Auto Club building on Opletalova Street. Around 2 p.m., the cars will set off on the first stage of their route, passing the State Opera and the National Museum, then continuing via Karlovo náměstí down to the Vltava River, where the convoy will pass the Tančící dům (Dancing House). From there, the route follows the riverside road towards the National Theatre, continues along Národní Street and via Karolíny Světlé Street back onto Smetanovo nábřeží. The first stop is planned at Jan Palach Square in front of the Rudolfinum, where the teams will take a 45-minute break for media activities.

The second stage begins at 2:55 p.m. From the Rudolfinum, the drivers will cross the Mánes Bridge towards Klárov, drive along Valdštejnská Street to Malostranské náměstí, and continue via Újezd to Jiráskův Bridge. The route then passes the Dancing House once again and returns to Smetanovo nábřeží. After a second stop at the Rudolfinum, the cars will continue straight towards Josefov and along Pařížská Street to the Old Town Square. From there, the route leads through Dlouhá and Revoluční Streets, past the Powder Tower and the Municipal House, before ending in Hybernská Street. The cars are expected to reach the finish line around 3:30 p.m. in front of the Auto Club on Opletalova Street, where the drivers will be available for autographs and to meet fans in the Smetana Hall.

With this parade, Prague ushers in the hot phase of the Central European Rally – offering motorsport enthusiasts a rare sight: world-class rally cars right in the historic heart of the city.
