    Metro C Florenc: Weekend Closure between Hlavní nádraží and Vltavská due to Ceiling Construction Works

    The Prague Public Transport Company sets up a replacement tram line XC for the duration of the closure

    This weekend, significant construction work will take place at the Florenc C metro station in Prague. As a result, Line C will be closed between Hlavní nádraží and Vltavská from Saturday to Sunday.

    At Florenc C station this weekend, a major construction phase is underway: the last ten new prefabricated prestressed concrete beams will be installed into the ceiling structure above the station vestibule and the adjacent passageway. Each beam weighs up to 30 tonnes. For safety reasons, metro services on Line C between Hlavní nádraží and Vltavská will be suspended in both directions from the start of service on Saturday, 8 November, until the end of service on Sunday, 9 November 2025.

    The Prague Public Transport Company (DPP) will operate a replacement tram line XC during the closure, serving the section between Hlavní nádraží and Strossmayerovo náměstí, alongside tram line 36, which also passes through the affected areas.

    Traffic measures:

    Metro Line C: Complete closure between Hlavní nádraží and Vltavská from Saturday morning until Sunday evening.

    Replacement tram: Line XC during the day between Hlavní nádraží (Opletalova) – Masarykovo nádraží – Bílá labuť – Vltavská – Strossmayerovo náměstí – Letenské náměstí – Špejchar.

    Existing tram line: Line 36 serves the route Zvonařka – I. P. Pavlova – Karlovo náměstí – Václavské náměstí – Masarykovo nádraží – Florenc – Křižíkova – Invalidovna – Palmovka – Bulovka – Kobylisy – Vozovna Kobylisy.

    Route changes: Line 23 will be diverted from Bruselská via Nuselské schody to the turning point at Náměstí Bratří Synků.
