For the thirtieth time, Prague’s Congress Centre is opening its doors to the largest fair for secondary schools in the Czech Republic. From Thursday to Saturday, pupils and their parents can explore the wide range of educational opportunities the capital has to offer.
For the thirtieth time, Prague’s Congress Centre will host the largest secondary school fair in the Czech Republic: Schola Pragensis. This year, the event takes place from 27 to 29 November 2025 and annually helps countless pupils find their school of choice. The motto of this year’s fair, “Hra začíná” (“The Game Begins”), symbolises the first major step young people take towards their future.
The fair is organised by the City of Prague and aims to provide free information on the diverse educational offerings of Prague’s grammar schools, vocational schools, and higher technical schools. Three days of inspiration, discovery, and exchange give primary school pupils, their parents, and teachers the chance to gain an overview of the wide range of schools and study programmes available in the capital. Dozens of Prague schools present themselves on a central site – each with its own approach to supporting pupils in learning, growing, and succeeding.
“Schola Pragensis is an essential tool for helping pupils and their parents choose the right secondary school. The fair enables direct contact with school representatives and offers practical advice that is vital for making an informed decision about one’s educational path,” explains Antonín Klecanda, Prague’s Councillor for Education. “This year’s motto, ‘Hra začíná’, symbolically reminds us that choosing a secondary school is the first major step into a young person’s future – a step that can open doors to professional and personal development. The right school is not just a place of teaching but a space where interests are sparked, skills are shaped, and talents nurtured.”
Over almost three decades, Schola Pragensis has become a fixture in the educational landscape, supporting thousands of young people each year in their choice of school. The 2025 anniversary edition introduces numerous innovations to enrich the programme and offer new experiences for pupils, parents, and teachers.
