Prague is stepping up public transport services over the Advent weekends. Shorter intervals and additional capacity aim to accommodate the higher number of passengers.
Between 29 November and 21 December 2025, Prague will increase public transport services – especially on the tram network. According to the transport authorities, the regular weekend tram intervals between roughly 10:00 and 20:00 will be reduced from 15 to 12 minutes. On the heavily used lines 9, 17, and 22 (including line 23), the gap between services will even fall from 7.5 to 6 minutes. Saturday timetables during this period will correspond to the Sunday schedules.
Adjustments are also planned for bus services. Weekend line 207 will now be operated with articulated buses to provide more capacity. On line 112, intervals at weekends will be shortened roughly between 17:00 and 21:00, and articulated buses will be used on this line throughout the period.

From 29 November 2025, the express bus line AE – connecting Václav Havel Airport with Prague’s main station – will also run more frequently. Until early January 2026, the interval will be reduced from 30 to 20 minutes. As in the summer, the line will also run at night again, on an hourly schedule.
Vánoční flotila Kicks Off the Christmas Season on Saturday
Alongside the boosted services, the popular Vánoční flotila 2025 will also launch the pre-Christmas season this weekend. In addition to the illuminated trams and historic metro trains for St Nicholas Day, visitors can enjoy a pre-Christmas programme at the Střešovice Museum – DPP transforms December into a festive experience for all ages.
