The Prague Botanical Garden once again shines with sparkling brilliance this winter: Křišťálová zahrada transforms the garden into a magical realm of light, music and monumental glass installations.
For the second time, the Prague Botanical Garden is transformed in winter into a glittering world of monumental glass installations: the exhibition Křišťálová zahrada (Crystal Garden) invites visitors to a unique experience under the theme “Glass Symphony”.
Dozens of imaginative works featuring plant and animal motifs have been created by glass master Jiří Pačinek and his team at Pačinek Glass. This year, collaborations with the Prague Philharmonia and students from the UMPRUM Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design enhance the exhibition. Under the patronage of the Czech UNESCO Commission, the show promises a one-of-a-kind experience – both in daylight and during evening walks through the garden.

What visitors can expect
The Botanical Garden once again shines with colour and light. Monumental glass blossoms, illuminated trees and imaginative sculptures transform the outdoor areas and exhibition space into a magical Gesamtkunstwerk where nature meets art.
New this year: musical highlights are provided by the Prague Philharmonia, while UMPRUM students expand the visual component with digital art and video mapping. The support of UNESCO underscores the international significance of the exhibition.
Visitors can look forward to, among other things, the largest illuminated tree in Prague with glass ornaments, interactive light features, audiovisual shows and the fascinating transformation of glass from day to night.
Křišťálová zahrada is an invitation into a world where Czech glass craftsmanship, contemporary art and music merge into a sensory experience.
