The Prague Public Transport Company (DPP) will officially mark the start of Advent on Saturday. At the Střešovice tram depot, the festively decorated Christmas vehicles will be ceremonially put into service before the traditional illuminated procession makes its way through the city centre.
The Prague Public Transport Company (DPP) will officially begin the Advent season on Saturday, 29 November 2025. At 16:30, the festively decorated Christmas vehicles, Vánoční flotila 2025, will be formally put into service at the Střešovice tram depot. Afterwards, the illuminated procession will head into the city centre – passing Hradčanská, Letná, Nábřeží Kapitána Jaroše and continuing over the Mánes Bridge to the Faculty of Law, where the journey ends.
This year, the transport company has decorated eleven vehicles – two more than last year. The Křižíkova metro station and the MHD Museum Střešovice will also be presented in Christmas design. From Sunday, 30 November, the vehicles will operate on their regular routes and will remain in service on the streets of Prague until Epiphany, 6 January 2026.

New Features of This Year’s Christmas Fleet
Highlights include a festively decorated three-part Škoda-Solaris 24M trolleybus, the historic Tatra K2 tram, and a stylised model of Prague landmarks that will travel on the so-called “Mazačka” instead of its water tank. Traditional Christmas carols will also play on the Christmas trams – two T3 cars, a 14T, and a 15T.
Fulfilling Christmas Wishes from Children in Care – Passengers Can Help
This year, the transport company continues its cooperation with the project Milý Ježíšku. Through the platform milyjezisku.eu, more than 2,500 Christmas wishes from children in around 80 children’s homes across the Czech Republic have been collected.
Passengers can select a wish, scan the corresponding QR code, and fulfil the gift directly online. In the Christmas vehicles – for the first time also on displays – the number of outstanding children’s wishes is continuously shown.
