    Czech Republic Records Significant Wage Growth in the Third Quarter of 2025

    Adjusted for inflation, real wages rose by 4.5 per cent

    The Czech economy showed robust wage growth in the third quarter of 2025. Despite moderate inflation, incomes increased in real terms by 4.5 per cent.

    Earnings in the Czech Republic also rose noticeably in the third quarter of 2025. According to the latest data from the Czech Statistical Office (ČSÚ), the average monthly gross wage increased nominally by 7.1 per cent compared with the previous year, reaching 48,295 crowns. Adjusted for inflation, this corresponds to a real increase of 4.5 per cent.

    “In the third quarter of 2025, the average nominal wage rose by 7.1 per cent to 48,295 crowns. After accounting for inflation, this represents real growth of 4.5 per cent. The median wage during this period was 42,901 crowns,” explained Jitka Erhartová, Head of Labour Market Statistics at the ČSÚ.

    A closer look at individual sectors, however, reveals significant differences:
    Wages increased most sharply in professional, scientific and technical services, with a rise of 11.4 per cent. Wages also grew above average in culture, entertainment and leisure (9.8 per cent) and in construction (9.5 per cent). The lowest growth was recorded in energy supply (3.0 per cent) and mining and quarrying (3.9 per cent).

    The median wage also rose by 6.2 per cent year on year. Men earned a median of 45,502 crowns, women 40,059 crowns. Eighty per cent of employees earned between 22,559 and 82,064 crowns.

    For the first three quarters of 2025 overall, the average wage was 48,171 crowns – an increase of 7.1 per cent compared with the previous year. Consumer prices rose by 2.5 per cent over the same period, corresponding to a real wage increase of 4.5 per cent.
