After more than twenty years, Garbage are set to return to Prague, performing at the Lucerna Grand Hall beginning June. Fronted by the magnetic Shirley Manson, the band will deliver a mix of classic hits and tracks from their latest, deeply personal album.
Alternative rock icons Garbage are set to return to the Czech Republic for the first time in over twenty years, with a performance at Prague’s Lucerna Grand Hall on 9 June 2026. Fronted by the charismatic Shirley Manson, the band last played the city in 2005, and will deliver this time a selection of their greatest hits alongside tracks from their more recent albums, underscoring their enduring influence on the alternative rock scene.
Their eighth studio album, Let All That We Imagine Be The Light, is widely regarded as one of their most personal records to date, and the band will draw heavily from it during their Lucerna show. The album emerged under unexpected circumstances after Manson was forced to halt her 2024 tour due to serious health issues. Complications from a long-standing injury sustained in 2016 necessitated surgery and a challenging recovery, leading to the abrupt cancellation of a planned world tour—but also opening the door to a new creative chapter for the group.

While Manson recovered, bandmates Butch Vig, Duke Erikson, and Steve Marker spent the year laying down musical foundations and atmospheric layers, gradually sending them to her. This collaborative process became the backbone of material that will feature live on stage—songs born from a period of fragility and vulnerability, yet also marked by rediscovered strength. The album represents a departure from the confrontational edge of No Gods No Masters, favouring a more intimate and emotional approach that takes on new resonance in a live setting.
Fans at the Lucerna can expect an evening where the band’s latest work is performed in combination with the iconic hits that have defined Garbage’s thirty-year career. Let All That We Imagine Be The Light is a musically cinematic, richly layered, and atmospheric album, reflecting on both personal and societal themes. The Prague concert promises a rare opportunity to witness Garbage at the height of their creative powers, seamlessly bridging their new chapter with a celebrated musical legacy.
Tickets for the concert on 9 June 2026 at Lucerna Grand Hall in Prague are available from CZK 1.300 (plus fees). Official presale begins at 09:45 on 18 December 2025 via Ticketmaster and Ticketportal.
