Irish passion, infectious rhythm and spectacular dance artistry – Rhythm of the Dance returns to the Czech Republic. Three cities can look forward to an entirely new show packed with energy, music and impressive scenography.
For the third time, one of the most successful Irish dance and music shows, Rhythm of the Dance, comes to the Czech Republic. This time, the show will be seen in three cities – with a completely new programme featuring virtuoso step dancers, live music, opulent stage designs and striking scenography, complemented by large-scale projections.
Dynamic dance scenes full of energy
The audience can expect an evening of unbridled energy. Exciting dance sequences alternate with gentle moments inspired by the rich tradition of Irish music. On stage, seasoned dance couples perform alongside expressive solo performances by spirited dancers whose steps tell stories reaching back to the roots of Ireland. The rhythm of the music and the energy of the dance merge throughout the entire performance. Every step is accompanied by live music. Singing in the Irish Gaelic language also enchants the audience, transporting them to times long past and evoking Ireland’s rich Celtic heritage.

Irish culture lives worldwide
Irish dance and culture have long since crossed the borders of their homeland. From traditional festivals and pubs, rhythms and melodies have moved to the world’s major stages, inspired Broadway musicals, and left their mark on modern dance and pop music. Typical step sequences, fast tempos, and expressive musical energy delight audiences from Tokyo to Toronto – and it is exactly this globally shared energy that Rhythm of the Dance brings to the Czech Republic. Choreographer James Greenan says of the upcoming show: “It’s not just about preserving Irish culture – we evolve it and bring it to the stage in a way that resonates with people on every continent.”
A show for all the senses
Rhythm of the Dance is much more than dance. It is a visual and musical experience in which décor, costumes and modern projections enhance the atmosphere of each scene. Dancers and musicians connect past and present – from traditional folk dances to modern choreographic elements.
