Prague Botanical Garden: Exhibitions and Events 2026

This year, the Botanical Garden takes visitors on a journey through time, tracing the evolution of the plant world

In 2026, the Botanical Garden is dedicated entirely to plant evolution. Under the guiding theme of a “Plant Odyssey”, the new season leads from the oldest life forms to the present-day diversity of green life.

The year 2026 at the Botanical Garden (Botanická zahrada Praha Troja) is marked by a major journey through time. Under the title Plant Odyssey 2026 (Rostlinná odysea), the new season focuses on the complex developmental history of the plant world – from the oldest known life forms to the present-day diversity of green life. At the heart of the programme is the evolution of plants, which has shaped the appearance of our planet over billions of years.

Visitors are invited to follow the path from early, non-flowering plants to the first flowering plants and beyond. Alongside established exhibition highlights, the Botanical Garden will also introduce new formats and events. The aim is to make the 2026 season varied and engaging.

Guided tours of the vineyard and wine cellar

In addition to the exhibition programme, the Botanical Garden offers year-round guided tours (in Czech) under the title Sunday Cellar (Nedělní sklep). These tours lead through the St Clara vineyard and the historic wine cellar and conclude with a small wine tasting. The tours take place from 11 January to 13 December 2026, every Sunday at 1.00 pm and 3.00 pm. The meeting point is the “Kovárna” ticket office on Trojská Street.
