High-speed descents and daring tricks: Arkády Trigea DownMall 2026 at the end of January in Prague
DownMall is considered one of the most original mountain bike race formats in the world
Pure adrenaline in Prague: At Arkády Trigea DownMall 2026, professional mountain bikers will take on spectacular obstacles right in the middle of a shopping centre. Escalators, narrow passages and jumps promise plenty of thrills – riders and spectators alike can look forward to a truly unique spectacle.
A highlight for adrenaline and mountain bike fans is set to return: Arkády Trigea DownMall 2026 will once again bring one of the most spectacular shopping-centre race formats to Prague. The starting gun will fire on Saturday, 24 January, at the Arkády Pankrác shopping centre – on the second floor, in the heart of the “World of Jellyfish” (Svět medúz) exhibition. In addition to an attractive cash prize, the winner will also receive a symbolic share in the shopping centre.
DownMall is regarded as one of the most original mountain bike race formats worldwide. On an indoor course, riders must tackle escalators, tight sections and technically demanding obstacles – including features rarely, if ever, seen in shopping centres. It is precisely this unusual combination that makes the event a magnet for both professional athletes and spectators.
“Thanks to our new main partner, the Trigea real estate fund, we can prepare an even smoother and more demanding course, which this time will start on the second floor in the middle of the ‘World of Jellyfish’ exhibition. Riders can expect technical sections, escalators and jumps that will take the race to a whole new level,” says Vojtěch Pluhař, one of the organisers. “DownMall is not just a race, but an experience you won’t find anywhere else.”

Among the high-profile starters is Tomáš Slavík, multiple Fourcross world champion and winner of numerous urban mountain bike races. Last year, he dominated the competition, finishing ahead of Germany’s Johannes Fischbach and Switzerland’s Noel Niederberger. “I’ve never experienced a better atmosphere than at the Arkády races. I’m really looking forward to it. The course is always perfectly prepared – and this time it will be even more exciting,” says Slavík.
For the first time, a Slopestyle category will be held alongside the classic speed race. This competition focuses on tricks performed along the entire course. Last year’s winner, Jakub Vencl, will face strong competition this time, including Dawid Godziek, currently one of the world’s top Slopestyle riders.
The winners can look forward to a special prize package: In addition to a cash prize of 200,000 Czech crowns, they will once again receive a symbolic 0.001 per cent share in the Arkády Pankrác shopping centre. “This significantly boosts motivation for both national and international riders,” explains Trigea managing director and co-founder Tomáš Trčka, whose company owns the centre and initiated the return of the race.
Admission for spectators is free of charge. The event will also be broadcast live on Nova Sport 1 and Nova Action. Further information about the programme and the list of participants can be found on the event’s social media channels.
