At the fair, universities, higher education institutions, faculties, higher vocational schools and other educational institutions present themselves to visitors
From 20 to 22 January 2026, the Gaudeamus Prague 2026 education fair will take place in Prague. Held at the PVA Expo Praha exhibition grounds, the event provides information on study options after school-leaving examinations and offers extensive advisory services for pupils and teachers.
The 18th edition of the European Fair for Higher Education and Lifelong Learning, Gaudeamus Prague 2026, will be held from 20 to 22 January 2026 at the PVA Expo Praha exhibition centre in Halls 3 and 4. The fair is open to visitors on 20 and 21 January from 8.30 am to 4.00 pm, and on 22 January from 8.30 am to 3.00 pm.
The aim of the fair is to provide pupils at upper secondary schools with comprehensive information and individual guidance to help them decide on a course of study after school-leaving examinations – one of the most important decisions in the lives of young people.

Gaudeamus is characterised in particular by a wide-ranging accompanying programme, numerous sources of information and free advisory services. All accompanying events are available to visitors free of charge.
Key programme highlights include lectures by the exhibiting higher education institutions, which take place on all three days of the fair in the lecture area in Hall 3. Topics include admission procedures and study conditions in the 2025/2026 academic year, as well as insights into student life from the perspective of current students and graduates. A total of 39 lectures are planned.
Those who are undecided can receive support at the test centre and advisory service. There, they can complete a study-type test and find out whether their interests lie more in the fields of economics, humanities, engineering, natural sciences or the arts. Based on the results, experts provide guidance on suitable higher education institutions, faculties and degree programmes.

As part of the accompanying programme “Science for Life”, visitors have the opportunity to experience scientific findings, technological innovations, robotics and experiments from technical and natural science degree programmes in a hands-on way.
A dedicated Pedagogical Centre is available for teachers, careers advisers and form teachers at upper secondary schools. It offers a special programme featuring 30 lectures, seminars and expert discussions, with contributions from universities, higher education institutions, the Vyber správně project, the National Pedagogical Institute and other organisations.
Educators also receive a compact information pack on the exhibiting educational institutions, as well as access to the Gaudeamus Advisor guidance application, which currently includes more than 750 educational institutions and around 10,000 study programmes.
