
125 Years of Škoda Motorsport: From Long-Distance Motorcycle Racing to the Pinnacle of Rallying

From the first motorcycle race in 1901 to today’s successes in the World and European Championships, Škoda has played a key role in shaping motorsport. The Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 is among the most successful cars in its class.
The history of Škoda Motorsport dates back to 1901, when it all began with motorcycle racing. To this day, the team continues its successes – including victories and titles in the WRC2 category of the FIA World Rally Championship, the FIA European Rally Championship, as well as in numerous regional and national rally series.
For its 125th anniversary, Škoda Motorsport will offer its customers special equipment benefits. From January 2026, all delivered Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 cars will also feature additional options to mark the anniversary year.

The celebrations begin with the Monte-Carlo Rally
Throughout the year, Škoda Motorsport will celebrate the anniversary at various events. The festivities begin with the Rally Monte-Carlo from 22 to 25 January 2026, where the Fabia RS Rally2 will receive a special livery to mark the 125th anniversary. Over the course of the year, numerous other teams worldwide will also compete in the Rally2 special livery of the Škoda Fabia.
2025 was another successful year for Škoda Motorsport
In 2025, the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 was once again one of the most successful cars in international, regional, and national rallies. The customer team Toksport WRT won the WRC2 team title in the FIA World Rally Championship. The driver duo Nikolay Gryazin/Konstantin Aleksandrov secured the WRC2 Challenger title, while Miguel Granados/Marc Martí won the WRC Masters Cup trophy. Mikołaj Marczyk and co-driver Szymon Gospodarczyk claimed the title in the FIA European Rally Championship with the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2.
With similar cars, Nasser Al-Attiyah and co-driver Cándido Carrera won the FIA Middle East Rally Championship, and Hiroki Arai/Hiroki Tachikui took the FIA Asia-Pacific Rally Championship. In addition, drivers of rally cars from Mladá Boleslav secured 20 national championships as well as numerous important regional titles.
