The City of Prague is further extending its commitment to waste prevention. With two new Reuse Points in Prague 3 and Prague 14, the municipal network now comprises twelve locations where well-preserved items can be given away free of charge.
At the beginning of 2026, Prague expanded its network of so-called Reuse Points. Two new sites in the districts of Prague 3 and Prague 14 complement the existing offerings. This brings the total number of Reuse Points on municipal recycling centres available to residents of the Czech capital to twelve.
At these Reuse Points, well-maintained items that are no longer needed can be handed in free of charge and used by others. The aim is to prevent waste and promote the reuse of everyday items.
“We fully support the expansion of Reuse Points as the capital. I am pleased that the people of Prague are open to the idea of giving everyday items a second life,” said Environment Councillor Jana Komrsková. During the current legislative term, the city also plans to establish a permanent reuse facility modelled on examples from Bratislava or Vienna.

The new Reuse Points are located at the recycling centres on Teplárenská Street in Prague 14 and U Staré Cihelny Street in Prague 3. Like all existing sites, they are accessible during the regular opening hours of the recycling centres, and prior registration is not required.
Functional items such as crockery and household goods, small pieces of furniture, books, toys, sports equipment, or decorations can be handed in. At the same time, it is possible to take other items free of charge.
By expanding the Reuse Ooints, the city aims not only to reduce waste but also to reinforce circular economy principles. Households can be relieved, and neighbourhood sharing encouraged. Every item reused remains in circulation – and does not end up in the bin.
