The Prague-based digital gallery Signal Space won the 2026 Inavation Award in the Arts & Experience category. The project impresses with immersive audiovisual experiences that actively involve visitors in the artistic process.
The Prague digital gallery Signal Space was awarded the internationally prestigious Inavation Award in the Arts & Experience category. The jury counts the project among the world’s leading initiatives in audiovisual technology and immersive installations, which actively engage visitors in the experience. Signal Space creates a surround experience that envelops the visitor, integrating them as part of the artistic presentation.
The Inavation Awards are considered the Oscars of the audiovisual, experience technology, and cultural installation industries – a global mark of prestige for AV and immersive projects. The awards are judged by an international expert panel composed of curators, technology specialists, and executives from the global creative sector.

Signal Space prevailed against strong international competition from the USA, the United Kingdom, Asia, and the Middle East. Competitors included, among others, teamLab Phenomena in Abu Dhabi and the Sherwood Observatory Planetarium in the UK. The jury particularly praised the project’s ability to combine digital art, light, sound, and movement into an accessible yet ambitious cultural format that appeals to a broad audience – including children, families, and school groups.
The project was conceived as a long-term cultural platform in the historic centre of Prague. Its aim is to promote contemporary digital and light art, support creative learning, and bring formats to the city that are otherwise only found in international metropolises. The project is operated and produced by Signal Playground, which is responsible for conception, production, and technological implementation.

“This award demonstrates that a project can emerge from Prague and succeed on the international stage. We see Signal Space as a long-term commitment to the city – proof that contemporary culture, technology, and education can function in a historic context and gain international recognition,” explains Martin Pošta, founder of the project. He adds: “We are delighted that our permanent exhibition attracts not only Czech visitors but also international tourists who come specifically for Signal Space.”
Signal Space builds on the more than ten-year international reputation of the Signal Festival and now develops it into a year-round format. With the Inavation Award win, Prague strengthens its position as a city that not only preserves its cultural heritage but actively shapes contemporary European culture and innovation.
