The British cult band Duran Duran return to the Czech Republic after 14 years. On 24 June 2026, the group will take to the stage at the O2 Arena in Prague. For fans, it is a long-awaited reunion with a formation that has been among the defining names in international pop and rock history for more than four decades.
Since their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022, their influence has also been officially canonised. With over 100 million records sold worldwide, 18 hits in the US charts and 21 Top 20 placements in the United Kingdom, Duran Duran have made music history. Eight lifetime achievement awards, two Grammy Awards, two Ivor Novello Awards and two Brit Awards – including the 2004 prize for “Outstanding Contribution to Music” – underline their status. A star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame also commemorates their career.

Musically, the band has always moved between glamour, melancholy and a spirit of experimentation. Songs such as “Hungry Like the Wolf”, “Ordinary World” and “Rio” became classics of a generation – danceable, catchy and at the same time infused with the nocturnal atmosphere that Duran Duran have long cultivated. Their song “A View to a Kill” remains the only James Bond theme to have reached number one in the US charts. Film legend David Lynch also directed one of their most successful concert films.
Their album Rio is also regarded as a milestone: it was included in best-of lists by renowned music magazines such as NME and Q and is regularly counted among the most significant albums of the 1980s. Artists from a wide range of genres – from The Notorious B.I.G. to 5 Seconds of Summer – have sampled their songs, while bands such as Muse and Deftones have reinterpreted them.

Alongside their music, Duran Duran also shaped the visual identity of an era. Fashion, aesthetics and pop culture merged in their work to form an overall image that continues to resonate today. With their current work Danse Macabre, they once again bridge past and present: new tracks meet cover versions and alternative interpretations of well-known songs.
Tickets for the concert on 24 June 2026 at the O2 Arena in Prague are available from 1,500 CZK (plus fees). The official pre-sale begins on 23 February 2026 at 10:00 via Ticketmaster.
