Weather Change in the Czech Republic: Rain at First, Sunshine and Milder Temperatures from Wednesday

Spring is knocking: The week in the Czech Republic starts with rain and, in higher areas, snow. From Wednesday, however, sunshine brings milder temperatures – especially in Bohemia, where temperatures could locally rise to 17 °C on Friday.

The week begins in the Czech Republic with rain, and snow is possible in higher areas. From Wednesday, a change in the weather is expected: it will be mostly sunny, and temperatures, particularly in Bohemia, will rise significantly above 10 °C – on Friday they could locally even reach 17 °C, reported the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (ČHMÚ) on X.

On Monday, we can expect mostly cloudy to heavily cloudy conditions with occasional showers. During the day, the cloud cover will temporarily ease, and precipitation will decrease. Daytime temperatures will rise to 8–13 °C. It will also be quite windy.

Tuesday starts similarly to Monday: cloud cover is expected, especially at night, and precipitation will affect large parts of the country. At heights above 900 m and in the north-eastern part of the country above 600 m, snow or mixed precipitation is expected. During the day, precipitation will gradually decrease and largely cease by the evening. Cloud cover will also ease from the afternoon; in the evening, fog may form in places. Temperatures will range from a minimum of 1–5 °C to a maximum of 6–11 °C.

For the rest of the week, meteorologists expect mostly sunny weather. Although fog or low cloud may occur locally, particularly on Wednesday and Thursday, it will clear during the day. On Wednesday, daytime temperatures will rise to 13 °C, on Thursday up to 16 °C – it will remain cooler in the east of the country. On Friday, temperatures in Bohemia could locally reach 17 °C, elsewhere up to 15 °C. On the nights leading into Wednesday and Thursday, temperatures could locally fall below freezing.
