The world elite of figure skating will gather in Prague at the end of March: the ISU has published the official entry lists for the 2026 World Championships. Olympic medallists and top stars will take to the ice at the O2 Arena.

In less than a month, the 2026 Figure Skating World Championships will begin at Prague’s O2 Arena. The International Skating Union (ISU) has now released the official entry lists. This confirms that from 24 to 29 March, Prague will become the stage for the biggest stars of international figure skating.

“I am very pleased that almost the entire world elite has decided to take part in the World Championships after the Olympic Games. From my perspective, this shows that Prague and the Czech Republic are attractive not only for fans, but also for the athletes,” says Evžen Milčinský, President of the local organising committee.

The event promises a top-class sporting competition. In the men’s singles, US star Ilia Malinin will compete, along with Japanese Olympic medallists Yuma Kagiyama and Shun Sato. In the women’s event, which was already one of the highlights of the Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, almost the entire world elite will be represented. These include Americans Amber Glenn and Olympic champion Alysa Liu, Japanese silver medallist Kaori Sakamoto, and bronze medallist Ami Nakai.

Also expected are the French Olympic ice dance champions Laurence Fournier Beaudry and Guillaume Cizeron, the US silver medallists Madison Chock and Evan Bates, as well as the Canadian bronze medallists Piper Gilles and Paul Poirier.

In the pairs event, numerous top athletes will also compete. These include the Japanese Olympic champions and multiple world champions Riku Miura and Ryuichi Kihara, the Georgian Olympic silver medallists and current European champions Anastasia Metelkina and Luka Berulava, as well as the German duo Minerva Fabienne Hase and Nikita Volodin, bronze medallists at the Olympic Games.
