With the arrival of spring, Prague’s traditional Easter markets begin once again. From the end of March, visitors can look forward to traditions, handcrafted products and culinary offerings.

There is already a hint of spring in the air, and in around three weeks Prague’s traditional Easter markets will begin. From 21 March to 12 April 2026, the historic city centre – including Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square and Náměstí Míru – will once again be brought to life by the colourful markets.

The Easter markets in Prague, as well as across the Czech Republic, offer folk entertainment, demonstrations of traditional customs and handicrafts. Numerous lovingly decorated stalls present typical Easter goods and gifts, including intricately decorated Easter eggs, ceramics and blankets with spring motifs.

Naturally, there is no shortage of food and drink. Alongside classic Easter dishes, visitors can enjoy a wide range of specialities, including grilled sausages, the world-famous Prague ham, homemade cheese and elaborately decorated gingerbread.
