The farmers’ market at Kulaťák in Prague 6 is entering its 17th season. From Saturday, visitors can once again enjoy regional products, international specialities and market atmosphere every Saturday on Vítězné náměstí.

With the arrival of spring, one of the best-known farmers’ markets in the Czech capital is also returning: On 7 March 2026, the 17th season of the “Market at Kulaťák” (Trhy na Kulaťáku) will start on Vítězné náměstí in Prague 6. The market takes place every Saturday from 8:00 to 14:00 until 19 December.

For years, the weekly market has been considered a regular part of life in Prague. Visitors can expect a wide selection of agricultural and handmade products, most of which come from Czech farmers, gardeners and producers. These include fresh fruit and vegetables, baked goods, meat, dairy products, eggs, honey and numerous other regional specialities.

In addition to the classic market stalls, the concept also includes a varied gastronomic offer. Visitors can try international street food, enjoy coffee or fresh juices and experience the atmosphere of the market with occasional live music. The organisers emphasise that the event is not only intended as a place to shop, but also as a meeting point for neighbours, friends and producers.

Particular attention is paid to the freshness and transparency of the products. Many goods come directly from the producers and were often harvested or made only a few hours before sale. Buyers therefore have the opportunity to obtain information directly from the vendors about the origin and production of the food.

Several larger events are also planned for 2026. On 6 June, the international street festival “Festival ambasád Food & Culture” will once again take place, where embassies from various countries present their national cuisines. A festival of small breweries is also planned for 12 September, where dozens of craft breweries from the Czech Republic will present their speciality beers.

In addition, the organisers want to place a stronger focus on sustainability this year. Plans include greater use of reusable tableware and a reduction in single-use packaging. Visitors are also encouraged to come to the market on foot, by bicycle or by public transport and to use reusable bags when shopping.

Further information about the programme and the participating vendors is available on the organisers’ website.
