
Average wage in the Czech Republic rises to over 52,000 crowns in Q4 2025
This corresponds to an increase of 7.4 percent compared with the same period of the previous year

In the fourth quarter of 2025, wages in the Czech Republic rose noticeably. According to the latest data from the Czech Statistical Office (ČSÚ), employees recorded a clear increase both in nominal and real terms.
The average monthly gross wage in the fourth quarter of 2025 stood at 52,283 crowns. This represents an increase of 3,616 crowns, or 7.4 percent, compared with the same period of the previous year. As consumer prices rose by 2.2 percent during the same period, the wage increased by 5.1 percent in real terms.
The trend also continued over the whole of 2025. The average monthly gross wage reached 49,215 crowns, which corresponds to an increase of 7.2 percent compared with 2024. With annual inflation at 2.5 percent, this results in a real wage increase of 4.6 percent.
The total wage bill in the country also increased. It grew by 7.7 percent year-on-year, while the number of employees rose slightly by 0.2 percent. After seasonal adjustment, the increase in wages compared with the third quarter of 2025 was 1.8 percent.
Income rose particularly strongly in several sectors. The largest increase was recorded in the energy supply sector (electricity, gas, heat and air conditioning) at 15.8 percent. Wages also rose significantly in professional, scientific and technical activities (11.8 percent), as well as in agriculture, forestry and fishing (11.5 percent). Growth was considerably lower in other service activities (3.4 percent) and in financial and insurance activities (3.7 percent).
The median wage in the fourth quarter stood at 45,523 crowns, representing an increase of 8.8 percent compared with the previous year. Men earned a median wage of 48,342 crowns, while women earned 42,692 crowns. Overall, the incomes of 80 percent of employees ranged between 23,282 and 89,006 crowns.
