The popular farmers’ market in Prague’s Lesser Town is returning. From tomorrow, Tuesday, the market at Malostranské náměstí will once again take place regularly – every Tuesday and Thursday.
The market at Malostranské náměstí begins its new season on Tuesday, 10 March. Located just a few steps from Charles Bridge and surrounded by the historic buildings of Lesser Town, it is considered one of the most atmospheric markets in the city.
Visitors can look forward to a traditional selection from Czech farmers and breeders. The range includes fresh vegetables and fruit, dairy products and bread from regional bakers. The offer is complemented by numerous products from local traders as well as stalls run by cafés and restaurants from the surrounding area.

Many familiar stalls will also return this year. Coffee from Coffeec provides a good start to the day, while various food stalls offer specialities including Lokše od Zuzky, Palačinky Rokos, Maďarské lahůdky and Lazis Indian Street Food. Beer lovers can also look forward to freshly tapped beer from Pivovar Fracek.
In March, visitors will also find hand-painted wooden eggs from Ukraine alongside other Prague souvenir items. From April – depending on the weather – fresh vegetables from the region should also be available again.

“Over the course of the year, additional seasonal traders will join, rotating at regular intervals. This keeps the offer varied despite the many regular stalls,” explains Natalie Hoffmann from the market’s organising team.
In recent weeks, two farmers’ markets popular among Prague residents, Naplavka and Kulaťák, have already opened their season.
