Smartwings Expands Summer Timetable: More Flights from Prague to Spain and Italy

With the start of the summer timetable at the end of March, Smartwings is further expanding its route network from Prague. In particular, connections to destinations in Spain and Italy will be offered significantly more frequently. Travellers will benefit from greater choice and more flexible departure times.

With the launch of the summer timetable on 29 March 2026, the Czech airline Smartwings will further expand its services from Prague. In particular, connections to destinations in Spain and Italy will be significantly increased.

In the future, Smartwings will fly more frequently from Prague to Málaga. From the end of March, 14 connections per week will be available on this route, meaning two flights per day. The cities of Barcelona, Valencia and Rome will also be served daily from the Czech capital during the summer timetable.

“Spain and Italy have long been among the most sought-after destinations for our customers. With the additional frequencies, we want to offer greater flexibility and respond to the growing demand for flights to Southern Europe,” said Michal Váňa, Sales Director of Smartwings.

Overall, the airline plans direct flights from Czech airports to around 80 destinations in 20 countries during the summer season. The largest selection is traditionally available for Greece with 20 destinations, followed by Spain with 19, Italy with 10 and Portugal with 7 destinations.

Smartwings is already registering strong demand around the Easter holidays. Particularly popular are short trips to Paris, Málaga, Madrid, Rome, Porto, Bilbao, Valencia or Mallorca. For longer holiday trips, destinations such as the Canary Islands, Madeira or the Azores are among the most popular choices.

On selected routes, such as to Gran Canaria and Tenerife, passengers can also travel in Business Class. This includes two checked baggage items of up to 32 kilograms each, priority check-in, access to the Business Lounge and an extended catering service on board.

Tickets are available via the Smartwings website as well as through travel agencies. Prices currently start at around 2,150 koruna including hand luggage.
