From the end of March, historic vehicles will once again return to the streets of Prague. In addition to two nostalgic tram lines, a retro bus line will also be put into operation – an offering aimed at both visitors and residents.
From Saturday, 28 March 2026, the historic tram line 41 will begin operating. It complements the already well-known line 42, which is jointly operated by Prague Public Transport Company (DPP) and Prague City Tourism. At the same time, the retro bus line K will also start its new season.
Historic Tram Line 41
Line 41 will operate until 17 November 2026 on weekends and public holidays. It connects key sights such as Prague Castle, Letná Park and the Výstaviště exhibition grounds, and starts at the historic tram depot in Střešovice, which also houses the public transport museum. Services run between 10:00 and 18:00 at 90-minute intervals, with a single fare of 150 CZK.

Historic Tram Line 42
Line 42 operates much more frequently, running daily as a circular route through the city centre. It connects numerous tourist highlights and follows a “hop-on, hop-off” principle, allowing passengers to get on and off as they wish. The all-day ticket costs 450 CZK and is also valid on lines 41 and K. Trams run between 10:00 and 18:00 at 30-minute intervals, with a journey time of around 50 minutes per loop.

Retro Bus Line K
The offer is complemented by the retro bus line K, which also runs from 28 March on weekends and public holidays. The route mainly serves the Prague 6 district and is partly based on the historic route of a former trolleybus line from the 1930s. Here too, the single fare is 150 CZK, with buses running approximately every 40 minutes between 10:00 and 17:30.

With the launch of these historic lines, Prague is adding another attraction to its tourist offering while also providing a unique insight into the history of public transport in the Czech capital.
