První Pivní Máj 2026: Craft Brewery Festival in Early May in Prague

Around 80 types of beer, regional craft breweries and a varied accompanying programme await visitors at “První Pivní Máj” in Prague 6.

Beer lovers can once again look forward to a well-established festival in Prague’s event calendar at the beginning of May: the craft brewery festival “První Pivní Máj” is entering its eleventh edition and will take place on 1 May 2026 in Prague 6 around the Břevnov Monastery.

Several dozen Czech and Moravian craft breweries will present their specialities on site and offer visitors the opportunity to sample around 80 different types of beer directly from the tap. Participating breweries include Falkenštejn, Raven, Beránek, Břevnovský klášterní, Zichovec, Švihov and Klenot. The offer is complemented by a selection of Moravian wines presented by various winemakers.

In addition to tastings, the festival also features a varied accompanying programme: visitors can take part in competitions such as timed beer drinking or the classic beer stein holding. Insights into traditional craftsmanship will also be offered through a demonstration of historical wooden barrel sanding.

Culinary offerings are equally diverse – from grilled cheese and burgers to hot dogs and other specialities available at numerous stands.

For children, there will be a bouncy castle, bumper cars and a carousel. Brewery souvenirs as well as T-shirts with the event logo will also be available for purchase.
