Prague will once again become a meeting point for the international community on Saturday. During the Embassy Festival Food & Culture 2026, Kulaťák at Victory Square (Vítězné náměstí) in Prague 6 will be transformed into a major celebration of cultures.

On Saturday, 6 June 2026, the ninth edition of the popular Embassy Festival will take place. The event is organised by Prague’s Farmers’ Markets (Farmářské trhy) in cooperation with the Prague 6 district and is considered one of the largest international cultural and gastronomic festivals in the Czech Republic.

Admission is free for all visitors. The festival grounds will open as early as 8:00 a.m. The official opening ceremony, attended by ambassadors, organisers and representatives of Prague 6, is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on the main stage.

More than 60 countries will showcase traditional dishes and authentic national specialities

The international cuisine will be the main attraction of the festival. More than 60 countries will present traditional dishes and national specialities. What makes the event particularly unique is that many of the meals are prepared directly by embassy staff. In some cases, ambassadors themselves will be standing at the grill or stove, serving authentic dishes from their home countries.

“At this year’s Embassy Festival 2026, we will present 60 countries from all over the world – more than ever before. This is a new record. We founded the festival ten years ago, but due to the Covid pandemic we had to skip one year, which means this is now the ninth edition. Food and culture bring people and nations together. Come and sample specialities from around the world and enjoy the unique atmosphere of international gastronomy and culture,” says Pavel Šťastný, Chairman of the Farmářské trhy association, which founded and organises the Embassy Festival.

To make it easier for visitors to navigate the extensive festival grounds, organisers will provide an interactive digital map for the first time this year. Visitors can scan a QR code on site to access an overview of all country stands and the cultural programme.

Music, Dance and Folklore on Two Stages

In addition to culinary experiences, visitors can look forward to an extensive cultural programme that will take place on two stages simultaneously for the first time. Until 8:00 p.m., performers from numerous countries will present traditional music, folklore and dance performances.

The programme is curated by the participating embassies themselves. Some performers will travel specifically to Prague in order to showcase their culture and traditions.

Entertainment for the Whole Family

Families with children will also find plenty to enjoy. A dedicated children’s zone featuring various activities will be supervised by Park Lane International School.

In addition, Prague 6’s partner towns and cities, including Bayreuth, Poreč and Roncegno Terme, will present themselves at the festival. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn more about regional attractions and culinary offerings. For travel enthusiasts, festival partner Prague Airport will also organise a variety of competitions and prize draws.

Farmers’ Market Takes Place Alongside the Festival

At the same time as the Embassy Festival, the traditional farmers’ market will take place in Technická Street. The market has been an integral part of Kulaťák for many years. From 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., visitors will be able to purchase fresh bread, baked goods, meat and sausages, eggs, seasonal vegetables, flowers and many other regional products.

Getting to the Festival

Organisers recommend travelling by public transport. Dejvická Metro Station is located directly next to the festival grounds. Parking spaces in the surrounding area are limited.
