New Adventure Playground Opens Near Nádraží Holešovice Metro Station

The new Spot Holešovice leisure area offers children and young people space for creative play and is set to be expanded with additional sports and recreation facilities in the coming months.

Prague 7 officially opened the new “Spot Holešovice” leisure area on a trial basis on 1 June 2026. The site is located between Plynární and Vrbenského streets, close to Nádraží Holešovice metro station. The new facility is aimed primarily at children and young people and is based on the concept of an adventure playground.

At the heart of the project is a creative play area that is constantly evolving and changing. Children can work together with supervisors to use a variety of materials and objects to build, modify and continually reinvent their own play structures. The aim is to encourage imagination, creativity and independent action.

According to the district authority, the adventure playground has deliberately been designed as an open and adaptable space. Visitors are encouraged to take an active role in shaping the site and contributing to its ongoing development.

During opening hours, supervisors from the Prague 7 Children and Youth Centre are always present. They oversee activities, manage the available materials and regularly monitor the safety of the play and climbing structures created on site.

The adventure playground is open daily except Mondays from 2 pm to 7 pm.

The area will be expanded gradually over the coming months. Planned additions include sports facilities with basketball hoops, areas for football and other activities, as well as a dedicated relaxation zone. Some of these facilities are still under construction and will be opened to the public in stages once work has been completed.

Basketball hoops are already available for use during the adventure playground’s opening hours. However, ongoing construction work may result in temporary restrictions or occasional closures of certain sections. The local authority has asked visitors for their understanding.
